First, they came 
for the educated
                                                                    none to question their creed
laying in the rubble                           where ideas once stood
libraries of knowledge
laying in ashes
pen and paper
containing words of hope
                                                                         blown away in the wind
knowledge in ruins
corridors of learning now hollow
            echoing the blasts
 
No teachers of courage to threaten the power
of those whose goal is to 
demolish thinking
Students that survive will carry on
To shape a different world
